"If he doesn't get better soon, he... might no ever wake up," She said looking up at Dina.

JD, as usual, had a subdued but protective look on his face, the protective part obviously directed at Dina, the subdued part to everyone else.
"Yes... Paul will die, then?"

"Sooner or later yes," Bell looked at the floor.

"Hmm," was all JD had to say, his expression thoughtful.
If anyone is wondering, neither JD nor Dina were wearing there costumes, JD in jeans and Dina in a casual dress.

Paul, angry now, ran at Querrain.
With an explosion that toppled Paul afterwards, Querrain was no longer in Paul's mind.
A blue sliver of power flew up the doctor's arm.
It contained Querrain.
"Stay in that doctor, I don't care." Paul sent to Querrain.
He closed his eyes. He could feel Dina and JD in there, along with Bell.
((The blue power was seen only by Paul, but JD could have felt it))
Doctor Wendell McGregor's life was uneventful.
He was going through a divorce, and his kids hated him.
So he decided to end it all.
He walked into the X-Ray lab, and poured water all over the circuts.
-Paul's room-
The radioactivity merged with the wires in Paul's room.
Suddenly the electricity in the room was off.
Something was happening.
The wire that held Paul sparked, shocking Paul.
Paul sat upright in bed.
Him-and something completely blue were separating.
It was being ripped from his skin in an odd way.
Paul screamed in pain, and finally, the blueness was out.
The Phantom floated away from the bed, behind the doctor-which was Querrain now.
"What the hell?" Paul said, looking at the Phantom.
"I am admittably confused as well, my counterpart." The Phantom said, back to Paul.
"We separated?" Paul said, and then remembered Bell was in the room.
"We're two different people now?" He said, looking at Bell and JD and Dina, but speaking to his other self.
The Phantom looked at Paul's three friends as well.

"P-paul?" Bell stuttered, amazed at what just happened. "You... have... powers?" She manged to stammer out. She looked down at the ground "I-I do too," She whispered her voice almost silent.

Paul looked at Bell increduously.
"I do...or did." he said, looking back at the Phantom.
"Apperently I'm normal now..but we don't have a power scanner or anything."
"You do? What powers?"

She smiled faintly "Light, darkness, and electricity,"

Paul looked at her again, a bit saddened at her secret.
But he was the same way.
He looked down, towards his backpack, where a small box was.
They'd have to wait a while now.
Noah and Mark walked in.
"Who missed Rockslide?" Rockslide said.
His jaw dropped when he saw Phantom.
Noah's did as well.
"Can someone check me out of the hospital?" Paul asked.

"Uh, sure," Bell smiled and went to check him out.

Paul got up, going into the restroom to change.
Something was weird..he felt imcomplete.
But the Phantom had re-merged with him. And he wasn't overshadowed.
So where was the Phantom, exactly.
Paul put his left leg through his pants, and then his right, pulling them up.
He pulled on a sweater, and a hoodie on top of it for the February chill.
He laced up his shoes, and put his toiletries into a bag.
He looked in the mirror. He was past stubble, he had a full blown beard.
He'd need to shave when he got home.
He walked out of the bathroom, feeling a little queasy, but considering that he had been in a coma...for what? 2 weeks..
Whatever.
He was still psyched. Bell was 3 months now, considering he'd found out in December.
They'd have their baby by August, or September at the latest.
He picked up his backpack, and sat in a chair in the room.
"Thanks for coming, JD, Dina, Mark, Noah." He said, smiling thinly.

Bell looked into the room "You're free,"

"Let's get the hell out of here." Paul said.
He put his arm around Bell, and walked out.
Noah and Mark stood there, looking at Dina and JD.
"Did what I think just happened happen?" Noah asked.

Bell smiled softly, "Where to?" She asked

"I don't care, wherever you want to go."

"Oh yes, give me the option because you know how decisive I can be," Bell rolled her eyes.
She thought for a minute then smiled "How about the old playground, I haven't been there in a long time,"
Bell grinned looking around, it was getting dark but that didn't matter to her. "Watch this," she whispered holding a hand out, an orb of white light started to grow in her hand, lighting up the space before them.

"Damn you..." Querrain murmured with a smile as he floated as a spirit.
"I'll be seeing you, Paul.. Phantom... Bell..." Querrain smiled even wider at her.
"And... you..." A fading laugh echoed in the minds of the other heroes as he was pulled back to the werewolf's mind.

"Okkkaaayy... THAT was weird..." Dina shivered at what sounded like a laugh.
"Always nice to see you, Paul... Bell." She looked back at JD, who looked a little distant.
"Hey," she said, touching his arm.

JD started as Dina touched his arm. "Sorry," he said. "Just thinking." JD looked at Bell warily.
"So. Light and Dark, hmm?" He looked at the ball of light thoughtfully. "Very nice... Can you make it anyt bigger?"

"JD has a power scanner!" Dina suddenly said, going to stand next to Rockslide and Noah.
"Nice to see you two!" She said with a smile.

"Oh. Can we use it?"
"I feel sick."

"Yea probably," Bell smiled and concentrated a little bit and it grew slightly bigger, "I haven't really been working on it much lately but once it was huge!" Bell grinned

JD nodded, not saying that an orb of light was less than a walk in the... park for him.
"Here." he said to Paul, pulling what looked like a sheet of paper out of his bag.
"Use this. It's the same as others, just more compact.. And it has a touch-screen!" JD had said that last bit with a small smile.

Paul smiled weakly at JD's grin.
Hey, it still helped someone be happy.
He touched it, and it began to glow.
A red beam touched Paul's head.
Hold me at arm's length, please Paul.
"It's uber creepy that it calls me Paul, but okay..."
He did as asked.
It scanned him.
Detected:2 life forms. Paul Ember, and the Super known as the Phantom
"So we really did separate."
Paul felt horrible burning. The blue left out from him again.
"Of course I'm alive." The Phantom said, looking around.

"GEEZ!" JD exclaimed as Phantom appeared. "A little warning might have been nice, Phantom.."
JD thought for a moment. "Right. You're.. ALIVE." He looked at Paul. "What do you want me to do?"

Meanwhile, Dina was attempting to strike up a conversation with Noah.
"So... How's life?"

The Phantom laughed, a creepy sound that had no human feeling in it.
"That's so weird..." Paul said.
He was clutching his stomach.
"I don't know...if I want to be normal."
Noah looked at Dina.
"Uh, just the normal, you know, everything being 150% weird."

Dina laughed at what Noah said. "Yeah, I know the feeling... especially since I'm dating him!" She pointed at JD.
Dina looked over at Paul. "Hey.. you okay? You don't look so good.."

"And rightfully so," JD said, looking at the Flexi he had taken back from Paul.

Dina walked over to JD. "What's up?"
