Building whilst absentminded

Liwet was sitting in a seat, using her hands to finish bending a thin piece of metal.
"...Heaven to earth to show the way, the earth the cross, my debts are paid..."
She smiled when it went through a strange-looking knot.

She felt something stir in the earth, but brushed it off as nothing.

"Hiya,Liwet." A voice like a snake came. The Scorpion was standing there.
"Heard you was in da hood."

Liwet glared at the Scorpion.
"Shax," she spat, and stood.
"You shouldn't be here." She began to pace.
"It's IMPOSSIBLE for you to be here."

Shax rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, Scorpo man made a deal with you peoples..." He smiled wickedly.
"But he made a deal with me first."

Liwet's eyes widened as a she realized what that feeling gave.
"But that's...NO."

Shax laughed.
"HELL, YES. He. is. OUT."

Liwet looked like she would cry.
"But-that's-it's" she disappeared in a flash of light.

"Master Scorpion." Leech said, bowing on one knee after he walked in.
"Forgive me for the mess. I did not know you were coming."

Shax (as Scorpion) looked at the lackey.
"Ah. Leech."
Scorpion sat in a fine chair.
"There is...A war going on.. And we're on the front lines."

"Right now? Nothing." Scorpion relaxed in his seat.
"Ah... We do nothing unless told. Those are the rules, we've ben keeping them thousands of years.."

"Forgive my saying so Master, but...there's something different about you. You seem more..powerful? If that is a correct term."
Leech stood now, looking at his master.
"But no matter. You will become the leader of this world, no matter how powerful you are."

Scorpion smiled widely.
"Yes.. I AM more powerful.. Deals with the devil actually pay off..." He looked at Leech.
"But, he has shown me the way. Yes, we shall dominate this world, with an unstoppable army no less."

Scorpion nodded.
"Yes... You do that. Even the heroes can make good soldiers, you just have to know when to push the right..."
He smiled.
"Buttons."

"Yes, master. Anybody in particular? Any powers you want under your command?"
Leech smiled, and began transforming in front of Scorpion's eyes.

"Hmm.." He looked skeptical.
"Nothing stupid." He stood up, walking to the bar.
"I don't want someone with flower power, or, anything weird like that. Someone who can take a hit.."

"How about.." Leech said.
He transformed into Rockslide, a hero seen on TV.
He just had the looks, not the powers.
"This one, master?"

Scorpion looked back.
"Meh... Next."

"Okay."
He was unable to turn into the Phantom, seeing as the Phantom was a being of spirit.
"How about.."
He turned into a younger hero, who hadn't a name yet.
"This hero has energy absorbtion and release, and can fly faster than the speed of sound."

"Interesting..." Scorpion walked back over to his seat, a drink in hand.
"Watch that one. Approach him and befriend him if you can.."
he smiled.
"After all, what's a hero without his amazing friends?"

"Yes master. He seems adolescent. Maybe even a child. I have triangulated him to "Starford High School". I will apporoach him there."
Leech bowed and left quickly.

The Silver Mage entered.
"Lord Shax," he said, giving a bow.
"I bring word form my master."

Leech passed Silver Mage on the way out.
Shax? He thought.
I thought his real name was..
Leech shook the thought from his head, and transformed, to that of a teenage boy.

"Speak, small one," Shax commanded.
Hey, Mage IS a little short compared to Shax.

Leech reappeared.
He picked up his knapsack, and left once more.

To his credit, Mage didn't cower when Shax/Scorpion spoke, but he was afraid of the demon.
"This." He held up the black jar.

"Master, I have befriended the boy using mind control. Noah Jonas is his name." Leech's voice crackled in on the com-link.
"I must go." Leech said, and the com-link went off.

Under his mask, Mage raised an eyebrow to the odd-looking person.
Then again, Mage thought mutants were kinda cool, so, yeah.

"Hello." Leech said to Mage.
