Home Alone

Bell sighed sitting on the couch, twiddling her thumbs while everyone was out an about doing something amazing.
And where was she?
Home. As usual, but it's not like she could help and she knew she wouldn't be able to anyway.

Whuf appeared on a chair nearby.
"Boo," he said in a almost-friendly way.

Bell looked at him, slightly surprised "Hello,"

"Where's your boyfriend?" The dark-haired man glanced around, really just to.
"Gone? Dead? Mission? Something that he's so rudely not including me in..."
Whuf pulled a humorous grumpy face.

"Off doing something spectacular I'm sure," Bell smiled softly at Whuf's expression.

Whuf kept the grumpy look, then his face smoothed out.
"So why're you here, reasons excluding the obvious... You are a hero, after all."

"I may be a hero, but I'm a pregnant hero at that. Even heroes have to be careful sometimes," She sighed wistfully

Whuf nodded.
"We all have to be careful (except for me)... Like, for instance, did you know that having a temper tantrum in front of a guy who claims to be more bratty than you, can get you stuck in a werewolf for 500 years?"

Bell chuckled "I'll take that to heart, and never have a temper tantrum in front of someone who can get me stuck in a werewolf for 500 years,"

Whuf did the whole 'weren't nothing' gesture.
"Yeah, well... The only guy that I know of that could do that is long gone.. Funny. He was so powerful, that Death didn't like him. Wonder how he bit it?"
Whuf shrugged, brushing the subject from his mind.
"So. Two kids?"

Bell looked down and smiled "I guess two kids,"

Whuf raised an eyebrow.
"You guess? Your kidding, right? You're the mom, and you don't know?"
Whuf sat back, an incredulous look on his face.
"And people tell me I was a forgetful parent!"

Bell laughed "Well we only saw one on the sonogram, then Paul tells me their is two, it gets confusing,"
She shrugged "But we have the names picked out,"

Whuf nodded.
"Hmm... Any choices yet?"

"Well for the girl it's gonna be Samantha," She sighed sweetly.

Whuf shrugged.
"Human names. Never could get my head around them."

Bell grinned, "Human names, I know what a drag," She murmured sarcastically.

A wind from outside hit a paper on the table, floating it over to Bell's lap.
GERMAN SHEPARD PUPPIES FOR SALE, it said.

Whuf had nodded seriously to Bell's reply. He really didn't like them. Far too common.
He looked at the little sign.
"Strange."

Bell read the sign and sighed pondering whether or not to try and get one... she glanced at Whuf and smiled, "Not very strange considering who we are,"

Whuf shrugged, and in one smooth movement, stood.
"Have you ever argued with a family member?"

"If you count my step father, yes," Bell said wondering were this was going.
