Ruby's Wandering

Ruby smiled.
"Its all about the food, isn't it?" She laughed.

Rain had drawn back in minor surprise when he saw the rock person.
(Ahh... I know who THAT is...)
Naturally, this intrigued Rain, but he knew he had to return.
In a puff of silver-like smoke (which he made see-able on purpose), he was gone.

Ruby smiled at Mark, rolling her eyes in a playful way, knowing that sometimes, it IS all about the food.
She looked out the window of the museum and saw the eating place she was just at and noticed a little bit of smoke from the booth she was sitting at, but she didn't think that much of it. It was probably someone smoking.

A girl with long red hair and a little white dog walked down the street.
The two were looking for something, but what?
They looked at the other two heroes (Alexis ((the girl)) knew that MArk was one, but not Ruby) and stopped.
"Mark?"

Ruby turned around, hearing Mark's name be called and looked up at Mark. Ruby wondered who the girl was.
"Oh my gosh! That is a beautiful dog!" Ruby commented, adoring the white dog.

The dog growled a little at Ruby.
"Shush, Rory," the girl said.
"I'm Alexis, and you are?"

Ruby pulled back a little when the dog growled, but still adored it.
Ruby smiled.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Ruby. I'm sort of new around, got here a few weeks ago." Ruby said, pulling out her hand to offer a hand shake with Alexis.

"Alexis..from the diner." Mark said, putting 2 and 2 together.

"Oh, hi. Nice to meet you," she said,still holding out her hand to shake

Alexis accepted the hand, giving it a brisk shake, then pulling back her hand.
"Yeah, I'm just, ah, looking for a friend really."

Ruby cocked her head.
"You're looking for a friend? How so?" She asked.

Mark stood there, feeling a weird feeling that he couldn't explain.
(Awkward.)

Ruby looked up at Mark, and she could tell he was a bit uncomfortable.

Alexis kind of teetered from one foot to the other, feeling awkward.
The dog barked, looking at Alexis.
Alex looked down at her dog.
"Oh. Then this was for nought."

"Nought?" Ruby asked, wondering what that meant.

"What was?" Mark asked.

"Looking for Mage. He's not here. He's already left."

"He's gone? Already?" Ruby asked incredulously.

Alex nodded.
"Yeah... Probably teleported out."
The dog barked again.
"'Bout 4 minutes ago?"

Alex looked at Mark with a faint smile.
"He likes to be invisible. It's a thing of his."

"Oh. No wonder." Mark said, looking down.
(Is she eyeing him? Lol!)

"Maybe," ruby sighed. How could they have missed him?
Ruby felt awkward, not really knowing what else to say.

(Lol, maybe)

Alex sighed.
"You know, at first I didn't believe he'd taken a life. But he did..."

Alex nodded.
"I know."
She glanced down at the dog again, who barked.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah..."

Ruby looked around anxiously. She felt like something bad was happening. Really bad.

Alex looked back at her dog.
"Really? That's not good..."

"Is your dog talking to you?" Ruby asked incredulously

The dog growled again.
"Well, yeah. She's actually a dragon."
