keening while alone (OPEN)

Hillary raised her eyebrows.
"Then where ARE you from?" She asked.

"Alternate reality."

"There is a freaking alternate reality?" Hillary sighed. Everything became complicated suddenly.

"An infinite number of them, actually. I've only been to a few." JD smiled. It was nice knowing things.

Hillary sighed.
"I know nothing then,"

JD shrugged.
"Don't feel bad. My genes are insane."

Hillary smiled a little.
"Yeah, genes." Hillary sighed.
"How are your genes insane?" She asked.

"Insanely good, I meant. Gives me access to more of my brain than... well, almost everyone in the allied universes."

"Thats awesome. If only I had insane genes.." Hillary thought.
"Is it annoying sometimes?" She asked.

JD nodded. "It makes people want to kill you."

Hillary laughed a little.
"Well, at one time or another, at least one person wants to kill you." Hillary thought back to the big fight and how she kept eating Trisha..

JD nodded again. "Yeah... For me, more often than most..."

Hillary raised an eyebrow.
"And may I ask why that might be, or is it because of the genes thing?"

JD shrugged. "More of a family thing... So, yeah, a gene thing. A species thing..."

Hillary cocked her head.
"Okay then," She replied, pondering.
"So you come from a family or species that wasn't really liked?" She said.

JD shrugged again and his watch beeped.
"Huh."

"Hm?"

JD stood.
"Ok... That's just creepy..."
He gave Hillary a mock-worried look, opened the portal again (about 3 feet from the roof), and stepped into it. And all I can think right now is, "This guy's got LONG legs... XD."
The portal (all cool and swirly like) faded.

Hillary cocked her head
"Okay then," Hillary stood and brushed off her butt and sighed.
"Hmm... where to go.. where to go.." She debated on where to go from here.
