Talking a little (Whuf+Cathy - sorta open)

Whuf walked hand-in-hand with Cathy. It wasn't his usual style, but he could work with it.

"So," Catherine began, sort of surprised to actually be holding hands with Whuf.

"...So." Whuf was a master at mushing down emotions, but when it came to saddness, an emotion he rarely felt, he was terrible at it. This meant that he was visibly upset.

Catherine looked at him.
"Are you okay?" She asked again.

Whuf shook his head, sitting at the base of the now-clean memorial.

"Whats the matter?" She looked at him with concern.
"What happened?" She asked.

Whuf gestured to the ground next to him.

"What about it?" Catherine asked with wonderment.

"Sit," Whuf almost laughed.

Catherine sat, and remembered figuring that was what he had meant.

Whuf took Cathy's hand and sighed.
"Ah... You know, this monument... It used to be far more damaged than it is now.."
He looked up at the half-new looking statue.

"So it just went backwards, aging wise?" Catherine raised an eyebrow.
"But does this have anything to do with what is bothering you so much?" Catherine asked, still concerned.

Whuf didn't meet Cathy's look.
"Friend of mine died," he finally said. Whuf's face became devoid of all emotion.

Cathy felt sympathy for Whuf.
"I'm sorry." She stood up, and lightly and softly rubbed Whuf's back, comforting him. It felt awkward for her, but she tried not to think of that. She was just trying to comfort him.
"Yeah.. deaths are hard.." Catherine said, thinking of some of her own past.

Whuf took a shaky breath, but his face still didn't show any emotion.
"Yeah..." Whuf wasn't too sure why he did it, but he put his head on Cathy's shoulder. All he knew, is that somehow, it made him feel better.

Catherine gave a small smile, seeing that he was feeling a bit better.
"I've been through a few of those.." Catherine looked down.
"They're always hard... You sometimes think that it's the worst thing ever, depending on who it is. Holding it in won't do a thing for ya, I know that for a fact." Catherine continued to softly rub his back, trying to comfort him. It was still awkward but she tried to put it past her. She almost smiled again when Whuf put his hand on her shoulder

OOC: Haha... Geez, I hate writing emotional scenes...

IC: Whuf half-considered staying where he was, but he stood suddenly.
He cleared his throat.
"Excuse me," he said, trying not to run. He quick-walked off.

OOC: Well, that wasn't awkward in the least! NOT.

OOC: So do I. I am never sure how to do it lol. I have enough trouble with it in real life!

IC: Catherine watched as Whuf walked off. She sighed.
"Okay then," She muttered and bit the side of her lip, wondering if she did something.
"Bye," she said softly, almost a whisper.
