Theodore Roosevelt High School

Paul went into the local HS, having both Erika and Noah's papers of transfer. School was starting soon, for both of them.
"Here you go, Mr. Ember." Susan Barredy, the secretary said.
"Thanks, ma'am." Paul said, and then he walked out of the office.
He walked down to the football field, where him and Mark had both played football together...so long ago.
Back when everything was okay, everything was normal.
This is where him and Bell had made out for the first time.
This is where Erika and Noah would go..
Would everything ever be the same again?
Paul wondered what life would be like had he been normal.
And then he wondered what life would be like if he had accepted that offer so many months ago, to save his mother.

"No." He could hear her say. "Nunca hacer negocios con el diablo. Sólo perjudicará a usted y a los que el amor en el final."

"Mami..." He said, missing her with so much intensity it burned..
But he had to be a parent now, for Noah, and Sammie, and Paul Jr.
And himself.
He needed to remember to work on himself.
