Infirmary-To Save A Life

Paul had taken Bell downstairs to check on the baby in the infirmary.
Then Mark ran in, holding Ruby.

Bell looked at them, and her face paled "R-ruby?"

Ruby nodded, feeling the blood soak through her clothing. I am losing too much blood, any longer and I could pass out. She thought.
"Bell.." Ruby smiled faintly.
"Mark, I just, I wanted to tell you..." Ruby managed, but then struggled for breath, coughing hard.

Mark looked at Paul.
Paul nodded.
"Bell..what we talked about." He said.
Mark held her hand.
"What, Ruby, what?"

Bell looked at Paul and nodded, worried for her friend.

Ruby gulped, struggling.
"I love you," She faintly smiled, feeling more blood trickle from her back, and she struggled to hold her eyes open, feeling the pull of unconsciousness.

Paul held Bell's hand, and was transferred into her.
He felt the babies.
And then-
"Da"
His eyes widened.
He reached out for his son-holding out his hand.
His son was so small.
They touched.
A jolt went through Paul, and then Bell, who was holding Ruby's hand.
And Mark, who was holding Ruby's hand.
"I love you too." Mark said, to Ruby.

Ruby felt a tear trickle down her cheek and she closed her eyes again.
"Thank you," She smiled up at him.
"Bell, you've been the best person I have ever known, if I.." Ruby struggled to breath once more and then Ruby fell into unconsciousness as another gush of blood fell.

Healing flew throughout Ruby's body, starting to heal her body slowly, at first, but then quickly.
Description of how the blood was re-obtained isn't necessary-just think of her as a sponge.

Ruby slowly gained back consciousness, seeing the worried faces of Bell and Mark. Another tear trickled down her face in happiness, that she was till alive.

Mark was in the corner now.
He clutched his stomach, it hurting.
Paul gaped when he looked at Mark.
His rocks.
They were gone.
It was just Mark, wearing an impact suit 10 sizes too big.

Ruby glanced over at Mark.
"Mark?" Ruby asked, trying to sit up, but making the gauge in her back worse. Ruby beamed.
Whoa... that's... well... he's beautiful Ruby thought in awe.

Mark looked down at his arms.
His suit started to stretch and reattach-until it fit his new form perfectly.
"I'm normal?" Mark said.

"Mark...that's...amazing..." Ruby beamed at him, knowing how dumbfounded he must be. Ruby began to lay back down to ease her pain.

Bell looked at Mark, shock covering her face "Wow." She said totally and utterly shocked

Mark over at them.
"Huh. Whaddya know."
Him and Paul looked a lot like twins-even though there was 2 years in between them.

Ruby smiled.
"You look very handsome." She complimented.

"Thanks." Mark said.
He let out a small gruff groan, and the rocks began to grow back.
He grew from six nine to eight seven.
"That feels weird..I don't think I'll do it for a while." Mark said.

"Well that was a sight to see," Bell smiled, happy that everybody was fine.

Ruby smiled.
"You're very welcome."
Ruby watched as his rocks grew back. It was..interesting..
Ruby grabbed a cushion and put it on her back and leaned back.
"That's cool." She said.

"Yeah.." Mark said, putting the subject away for now.

"So," Ruby said.

"How are you feeling Rubs?" Bell asked.

Ruby sighed.
"My back feels like crap, I can barely move, but at least I am alive." Ruby said gratefully.

Bell nodded "Living is always a good thing,"

"It is," Ruby laughed a little, but that hurt so she stopped.

"So..." Bell said trying to find a topic.

"Some happy pills would be helpful right now," Ruby began teasingly.

"Let me see that thong!" Paul hummed.

Ruby whipped her head over to Paul, which was quite painful, but she didn't do anything about it.
"Was that really necessary Paul?" She asked teasingly.
